About SRI:

Siddhar Research Institute (SRI) is a registered non-profitable public charitable trust (Register no. 14/2017) engaged in the practice, propagation and research of Siddha system of Medicine, an ancient South India based health care system, which is very popular in Tamil Nadu.

SRI was established at Chennai on 27th January 2017 by the visionary physician Dr. M. Subramanian B.Sc., BSMS It has operations in different fields of Siddha Medicine and also aim at bringing integrative medical care.

The trust hospital started the service by offering consultation in Siddha Medicine to the needy with a special focus on providing subsidised cancer treatment to the underprivileged. Many leading doctors, specialists’ practice and consult with us.

Mission & Vision:

Our mission is to deliver compassionate and community-based healing practices to human body, mind and soul. We promote and expand therapeutic massage Siddha and Varmam which is one of the most ancient systems of medicine originated in India. Our commitment is to provide health and wellness to the people through Siddha Varmam.Our objectives are

  1. To establish Siddha health care centre and educational institution.
  2. To create awareness to prevent diseases through Siddha life style management.
  3. Documenting the knowledge of traditional Siddha practitioners.

  7. To publish Siddha health care magazines periodically.
  8. To develop education training and disseminate the opportunities in AYUSH health care system
  9. Create awareness about medicinal plants to School children and inculcate the habit of maintaining herbal garden.
  10. To document and develop research in Traditional Musical therapy and Medical astrology.

Publication:
Ongoing Projects
  1. The project entitled "Clinical evaluation for the prophylactic role of traditional Siddha formulation Vishasura Kudineer enlisted in Advisory of Ministry of AYUSH for COVID-19" funded under EMR scheme of Ministry of AYUSH is going on at Narayana Medical College, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
  2. Executed 'In vitro antiviral activity of Vishasura kudineer against Dengue, Chikungunya, H1N1 viruses in VERO and MDCK cell lines' at King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research, Chennai under the guidance of Dr. P. Gunasekaran & Dr. S. Mohana and its further studies are in process.
  3. Siddhar Research Institute in collaboration with International Association of AYUSHPATHI, Malaysia has conducted Awareness programmes and Workshops for the parents of Special needs children like Autism, ADHD, Down's syndrome etc., since September 2019.
  4. Anti-cancer activity of various higher order siddha formulations under progress.
